ZIP vs. RAR

As of 2015, the most current version of WinZIP supports files up to 4Gb each, and can create a .ZIP file as large as 16 exabytes, however our web uploader can only accept .ZIP files < 1Gb

Render Rocket FTP transfer via FTP client will allow larger files, however:

From the WinZIP website: "Although WinZip can create very large Zip files and/or it can include very many files in a single Zip file, it is recommended that you create multiple Zip files when possible, grouping sets of similar files in each. This will make the use of your Zip files easier and it will help to prevent Zip file creation issues. In general, the longer it takes to create a Zip file, the more likely it can be for something outside of WinZip to interfere."
