When you launch a render at render rocket, the first step involves a 'scene analysis' of your animation files. We do this for a number of reasons, the main points of which are as follows:
1 - We scan your scene file to determine the version of Maya (or other render software) used to create it.
2 - We scan for any files that your scene requires, (for example textures, images, caches files, etc.)
3 - We scan your scene for other features of which you may want to specify optionally; for example: a list of render cameras to select, or particles & fluids caches that you may want to have us generate on our farm, as well as the default frame range which you may want to override for a particular render job.
We do this analysis to insure that your 3d design and animation files will render as predictably on our network as they would on yours. If there are any problems or missing data as your files are uploaded from your computer to ours, it is during this initial analysis process that they will be discovered.
If there are alerts, errors or warnings found during this analysis, we provide you with as much information as possible to allow you to understand the problem and how to best resolve it. The primary way you would do this is to carefully review the scene analysis log file, to which your are provided a link if a problem is encountered. Additionally, we provide suggestions to common render issues with knowledge base links if a known issue is encountered.
Please read any and all links to knowledge base articles carefully as this is the fastest and most effective way to resolve potential problems with render jobs.
